Welcome to Beving Quarter Horses

Congratulations to Rocky & Cole Patterson, Pratt, KS.  They own and ride Mr Blackburn Chex 113, AQHA/PRCA Steer Roping Horse of the Year in 2019.  He was proudly bred and raised by Beving Quarter Horses!!!!  Watch for him at the Steer Roping Finals in Mulvane, KS on Nov. 22-23.

We are a foundation Quarter Horse breeding farm located in north-central Iowa. We specialize in Pretty Buck-Blackburn bloodlines. Our senior sire was Fortys Last Chance, a red dun grandson of Pretty Buck and also a double bred Blackburn. The produce have been excellent colts that have excelled in the arena and in production for other breeders. In August of 2011 we had to put Fortys Last Chance down due to complications of old age. He will be missed but we feel very blessed to have had a stallion as prepotenant as he was. In 2010 we were able to purchase Mr Poco Blakburn 004 from Linda Martin in Wyoming to continue to perpetuate the Blackburn-Pretty Buck bloodlines. He has been a tremendous asset to our breeding program and his colts exceeded our expectations. In 2015 we sold Mr Poco Blackburn 004 to Jerry Zollinger of Idaho who had owned a full brother to him. For 2019 we will be using Poco Cuff Stripe, a 2000 dun stallion who is 31% Poco Bueno, 25% King and 95% foundation bred, Poco Dell Grande, a grandson of Poco Bueno who is 100% foundation bred, Mr Blackburn 090, a red dun son of Fortys Last Chance, Mr Poco Blakburn 193,a buckskin Blackburn, Pretty Buck, Jessie James stallion, and our new stallion Blackburn Yello Smoke, a 2004 palomino stallion who combines the Blackburn breeding with the King bloodlines. He is what we look for in a stallion, good bone, pretty head and neck, deep heart girth with a long sloping shoulder, well muscled with a disposition of gold.

The foundation bloodlines of our breeding program need no introduction as they are some of the original bloodlines used as a cornerstone to build the American Quarter Horse Association. Our horses are eligible for any of the foundation quarter horse organizations and our offspring are a very high percentage of foundation blood.

Call or email us today for information on our breeding program, or if you are in the area, stop in and we will be glad to show you our horses.

Thank you for visiting our web site!

Our 2019 colts are on the ground and look great. We will be adding pictures of the colts as they mature to give you, the prospective buyer, a good idea of what the colts will mature to as adults. We feel you will like what see. Give us a call. Thanks again.
